Janet's fiber textile art will be on display for the month and there is an opening reception on Thursday, November 5th from 6-7:30 pm. You can meet Janet, enjoy some refreshments and enter a drawing to win one of her unique pieces. Ten percent of each sale benefits the library.
This is from the library publicity flier: "Janet Day is a textile artist in Fraser who incorporates vintage postcards, travel posters, labels and other images into contemporary textile art, including pillows and decorative wall quilts. Her unique art work uses historic images of Grand County, from Berthoud Pass to Rocky Mountain National Park. Her pieces will be displayed inside the Urban Community Meeting Room throughout the month."
Her work is original and really depicts life in Grand County - both past and present.
Janet also makes gift bags for the Tabernash Tavern to hold bottles of wine, a baguette, or a pound of their custom coffee, etc.
